FAQ

  • What is cremation?

Cremation is the specialised process of reducing a body by exposing it to intense heat. Through high temperatures and evaporation, the body is reduced to a mineral form known as "cremains" or better known as "ashes". The ashes are then crushed into a semi-powdered form.

  • What is my pet cremated in?

A specially designed, purpose-built pet cremator that uses the latest technology and is environmentally friendly. Our cremator is used exclusively for pet cremations and complies with strict and current EPA codes.

  • May I attend my pet's cremation?

Due to the length of the cremation process and government regulations, we are unable to offer this, but we welcome your visit to view our facilities and to say farewell to your pet in private.

  • How do I make arrangements for Paws To Reflect Pet Cremations to handle my pet's cremation?

All you need to do is to contact us directly by phone or email and/or inform your vet to contact us and we will pick up your pet at a time which is suitable and convenient. This can be from your home or your vet. We will need you to complete an authorisation form which asks what service you require. This can be given to your vet or we can collect it when at your home. Alternatively, you are also welcome to bring your pet to us.

  • Can I make arrangements with Paws To Reflect Pet Cremations before my pet is deceased?

Yes, we are happy for you to contact us well in advance of your pet's passing to make sure that your exact wishes can be carried out. We can keep details of your pet on file until you need our help. We would suggest that you let your vet know that you would like Paws To Reflect Pet Cremations to take care of your deceased pet to ensure your pet is not sent elsewhere.

  • How and when should I pay for the cremation?

We accept cash, cheque or direct credit. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards. Payment is usually made upon return of ashes, although we do reserve the right to request payment in advance.

  • What are your opening hours?

We are available 7 days a week and contactable on 08 8552 6356. In the event that we are unable to take your call, please leave a message and we will return your call promptly.

  • How long will it take to receive my pets ashes back?

Your pets ashes will be returned to you within 5 days.
